AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn Public Library invites children and their families to experience the magic of “The Nutcracker” at East Alabama Ballet’s Clara’s Tea Party on Saturday, Nov. 7, at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. The event is free and open to the public, and no registration is required. Presented in partnership with East Alabama Community Ballet (EACB), this enchanting event will introduce children to the wonderful world of ballet through crafts, dancing and a special storytime. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet ballet dancers performing “The Nutcracker.”
“East Alabama Community Ballet is a local nonprofit serving dancers and the community through youth ballet events, most notably ‘The Nutcracker Ballet’,” said EACB board member Shanna Brodbeck. “EACB’s goal is to bring the joy of ballet to the community, joining dancers from multiple studios to perform ‘The Nutcracker’ each December.” Brodbeck added that events like Clara’s Tea Party are an important part of the organization’s efforts to introduce the youngest members of the community to ballet and inspire an appreciation for the performing arts. The collaboration reflects the Auburn Public Library’s commitment to connecting families with enriching cultural experiences and celebrating the arts through engaging, educational programming. Clara’s Tea Party will take place at the Auburn Public Library, located at 749 E. Thach Avenue. Two sessions will be offered, beginning at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
